Art Competition 2026

Celebrating Creativity in Our Community

At East Coast Credit Union, we’re proud to support the communities we serve, and this year’s Art Competition was a wonderful celebration of that spirit.

Taking place throughout May, our 2026 Art Competition invited young artists from across Bray, Greystones, Wicklow Town and the surrounding areas to explore the theme “Happy Places in Our Community.” The goal was simple: to encourage creativity while giving children and young people the opportunity to share what makes their community feel special to them.

We received a fantastic range of entries, each one unique, thoughtful and full of imagination. From local parks and sports clubs to family moments and favourite places, every piece told a story. Our branches were transformed into colourful Community Gallery spaces, showcasing the talent and creativity that exists within our local area.

Celebrating Every Participant

We want to recognise that every single person who entered should be extremely proud of their work.

Taking part in something like this shows creativity, confidence and effort — and that’s something worth celebrating.

As a thank you, all participants are now invited to visit their local branch to collect their certificate and a small goodie bag, in recognition of their amazing work and contribution to this year’s competition.

Thank You to Our Judges

A sincere thank you to our judging panel; Roisin O'Farrell (Local Artist), Jeanne Lappin (Loreto Bray Art Teacher) and Mairead Earls (East Coast Credit Union Branch Manager), who generously gave their time and expertise to review each entry.

Selecting winners was no easy task, with such a high standard across all age groups. Their care and consideration ensured that each piece was fairly judged and celebrated.
