Calling all young artists!

East Coast Credit Union is delighted to announce our Art Competition taking place throughout May 2026.

This year’s theme, ‘Happy Places in Our Community’, invites young artists to capture the places that make them feel safe, welcome, and happy; whether that’s a local park, a sports club, a library, or a favourite spot at home.

How to Enter

East Coast Credit Union is delighted to announce our Art Competition, taking place throughout May 2026. Designed as a month-long community initiative, the competition aims to strengthen local connections, encourage family participation, and celebrate the creativity of young people across our common bond.

This year’s theme, ‘Happy Places in Our Community’, invites children and teens to capture the spaces that matter most to them—places that feel safe, welcoming, and joyful. Examples could include a local park or playground, a sports club, a library, a community centre, a scenic walk, or a favourite place at home.

The competition includes a General Category and dedicated age group categories: 7 & under, 8–10, 11–13, and 14–17 (age as of 31 May 2026). Every entry will be displayed as part of our in-branch Community Gallery Wall, with winners recognised both in-branch and across our social media channels.

The winners will be selected by our judges; Roisin O' Farrell (Local Artist), Jeanne Lappin (Art Teacher - Loreto Bray) and Mairead Earls (Branch Manager, East Coast Credit Union). There will be an overall winner, and a winner from each age category. There are some amazing prizes up for grabs!

Entry requirements: artworks must be original, created using traditional media only (no digital/CAD), and submitted on A3 or A2 paper in landscape orientation. A completed entry form must be attached to each entry, and submissions must be certified by a parent/guardian as the child’s own unaided work.

Please fill out and download the form below when submitting. Entries must be delivered by post or by hand to East Coast Credit Union, Credit Union House, Main Street Bray, Co. Wicklow or East Coast Credit Union, 3 Main Street, Corporation Lands, Co. Wicklow. A completed entry form must be submitted attached to the artwork. Deadline is 31st of May 2026.

Note: The competition is open to under 18's only. You do not need to be an East Coast Credit Union member to enter. Please download full list of T&C's below.
